Pork Chops with Mushroom Sauce
What You Need
4 boneless center cut pork chops, about 1 inch thick
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon seasoned salt
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 (10.75 ounce) can condensed cream of mushroom soup
1/2 cup sliced mushrooms
1/2 cup milk
1/3 cup white wine, or wter
1 (3 1/2 ounce) can French's® French Fried Onions
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.
Rinse pork chops, pat dry. Trim excess fat. Combine garlic powder, seasoned salt, and flour; mix well. Dredge the pork chops in flour mixture; shake off excess.
Heat the oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Brown the pork chops 2 to 3 minutes per side. Transfer the chops to a 11 1/2 x 7 1/2 x 1 1/2-inch baking dish.
Combine soup, milk, wine and mushrooms. Heat and pour over chops. Sprinkle with half the french fried onions. Cover and bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes or until tender. Uncover, sprinkle with remaining onions, and continue baking 10 minutes. Serve with fluffy rice.Makes 4 servings.
If you want to make a smaller amount of chili without adjusting ingredients from another recipe, this could very well be the one for you. It's easy and delicious and uses 1 pound of ground beef.
What You Need
1 pound lean ground beef
1 small onion, chopped, about 3/4 cup
1 large clove garlic, minced
1 tablespoons chili powder
1/2 cup hot water
1/2 teaspoon cumin
1/4 teaspoon oregano
3 or 4 dashes Tapatio hot sauce (or your favorite hot sauce)
1 teaspoon salt
1 14 1/2-ounce can diced tomatoes
1 16-ounce can red kidney beans, rinsed and drained
Place ground beef and onion in a medium sized pot. Brown over medium high heat. Drain excess fat, Add garlic and cook for another minute. Add water, chili powder, cumin, oreganoom hot sauce, and tomatoes. Cover and simmer for 1 hour. Uncover and cook for another 1/2 hour.
Add kidney beans and heat through. Add water if needed for desired consistency.
